AW Executive Search Changes Name – Introduces New Brand Winona
The executive search and interim consulting company is now rebranded under a new name and brand, Winona. The company, previously known as AW Executive Search, currently operates in three countries with more on the way. Winona is a one of Akind company together with its sister-companies Academic Work, Brights and Crowd Collective.
Winona marks the beginning of the next phase for our company, with a clear identity that allows us to begin our journey towards our goal of becoming the market leader brand in the recruitment and interim consulting industry.

Winona was founded in 2019 by Akind, a company with more than 25 years of experience within recruitment. Since then, the company has grown significantly, expanding into more markets and establishing new offices. To continue meeting the growing needs of the industry and reach a broader customer base, the company is now adopting an updated brand and a new name to support their upcoming expansion into new markets with a brand identity that stands on its own.
At Akind Group we have been working with recruitment and consulting for more than 25 years. With Winona we have built a company that draws from the experiences and strengths of the group in how to organize and build a great recruitment company with the addition of great people with experience and passion for senior recruitment and interim consulting. With the rebranding to Winona, we clarify that each company in our group is a specialist in its field, while also positioning ourselves even more clearly as a one-stop-shop for clients who want to find and develop the right expertise.

Winona's new identity has been developed by Akind’s in-house agency, in close collaboration with PwC Experience Center.

The group is headquartered in Stockholm, with offices also in Norway, Finland, Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland. The group has more than 10 000 employees, and has facilitated over 160,000 jobs since its inception and currently generates a turnover of nearly 4.5 billion SEK. The CEO is Johan Skarborg, who co-founded the company in 1998.
